@wessley I would love to have 1 function: Hide Journal

The current Hide option in each journal only hides entries from “All Entries” view and “On This Day”.

My idea is to Hide the Journal from the Main screen too with the option to reveal it again from Privacy settings with Face ID/pin.

@cri8tive_sol Hmm… what would be the purpose, exactly?
@wessley 🧵🪡Hi! Purpose/Reason might be very individual. However, I have two reasons: 1) Like I do with calendars, I keep track of my autistic kid’s scheduled events by school years and hide past years, but keep them for references - because there are a lot of important events - similarly I do it in DayOne, but daily, for his daily behaviors in school and personal time. I would like to section this in journals by year too.
2) I have huge a pre-married Journal that I keep safe, cuz who knows! 👀😉
@wessley Example in calendar being hide/unchecked that won’t appear visibly in Calendar app, but registry is alive; and DayOne’s name for this “archived”/hidden function is “Selective Sync”, which keeps alive the journal but won’t show up in the determined device.
@cri8tive_sol I see… would the "hide entries" toggle in journal settings be what you're looking for? I reckon the UI for this could be improved…
@wessley That works for some active but not so relevant Journals.
I would like to have an option to archive a non-active Journal, that won't be visible in the Main page, but can be recovered thru settings again if needed. No password needed, but IF added, would be amazing.
@cri8tive_sol So, if I understand correctly, you'd basically want to hide journals entirely (even from the journal list)?
@wessley Hide/Archive, yes.
@cri8tive_sol Makes sense! Will add this to my (very long) todo list :)
