So many American pickup "trucks" are just vehicular weapons that are somehow allowed on the road.

Like, I get it, if you need a truck for work or hauling shit, you need a truck. But that's not what these are. These things are just fucking weapons.

@xgranade If I ever need to get another car while still living in the city, I'm getting a kei van (or at least a smartcar) because dear god this city was not built for the suburban yank-tanks terrorizing the people who actually live here... (And unlike many others in this hellhole of a country, it wasn't really bulldozed for them either, so it's actually a pretty nice place to live these days)

@xgranade when i was moving my son out of his last apartment (using a 27m3 box truck because they had so much accumulated trash 😭) someone rolled up outside with an immaculate little kei truck, moving into the same building, and their whole move was the tightly packed boxes on the back. I nearly wept.
