I am already mourning the loss of the penny because I'm thinking about certain customer interactions that will become obsolete. No longer will I be able to quip with dad-joke-level comments when a customer donates two cents for future customer usage: Thank you for giving me your two cents. Or, when one penny drops into the change tray---my register makes change for coins--"Don't go spending it all in one place." #Penny #USMint
