Almost 25 years ago, I was tasked with having a number of these made by a local signmaker in Jersey City Heights. The parking lot they used to adorn is long gone (FMU sold it to a developer), but I spied one of the signs in Station Manager Ken's office this past Tuesday when I was up to do a fill-in show. Ken was initially reluctant to let me have it, but when I reminded him that *I* was the one who'd done the grunt work of having them made (and also after I pointed out that there were at least six others just like it stacked behind this one in his office), he relented.
The signs themselves did only a marginal job of keeping random assholes from parking in our lot, and there were many occasions when it was necessary for me to shoo feckless realtors and coked up limo drivers off our property. But happy to have this as a reminder of those times.
