🐈 can i still recite jabberwocky from memory lets see

t'was brillig, and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble in the wabe
all mimsy were the borogoves
and the mome raths outgrabe

beware the jabberwock, my son
the jaws that bite, the claws that catch
beware the jubjub bird, and shun
the frumious bandersnatch

he took his vorpal sword in hand
long time the manxome foe he sought
so rested he 'neath the tumtum tree
and stood a while in thought

and, as in uffish thought he stood
the jabberwock, wi

th eyes of flame (cave story reference)
came whiffling through the tulgey wood
and burbled as it came!

one, two! one, two! and through and through
the vorpal blade went snicker-snack
he left it dead, and with its head
he went galumphing back

and hast thou slain the jabberwock?
come to my arms, my beamish boy!
oh frabjous day! callooh, callay!
he chortled in his joy

t'was brillig, and the slithy toves
did gyre and gimble in the wabe
all mimsy were the borogoves
and the mome raths outgrabe

🐈 i think i was only off by a few words, still got it....

@lovegame as a Jabberwocky-formerly-mostly-knower, i didn't notice any errors beyond punctuation... ok let's see

ah! "by", not "'neath". and "'twas" not "t'was", but, i'm filing that under punctuation. so only -1!! well done, very impressive.

@lovegame let me see if I can still do The Bagpipe Who Didn't Say No... I bet i'll mess up pretty bad it's been a long time

It was nine o'clock at midnight
And a quarter after three
When a turtle met a bagpipe
On the shoreside, by the sea

And the turtle said "My dearie,
May I sit with you? I'm weary."
And the bagpipe didn't say no.

@lovegame Said the turtle to the bagpipe
"I have walked this lonely shore,
I have talked with waves and pebbles,
But I've never /loved/ before.

"Will you marry me to day, dear?
Is it 'no' you're going to say, dear?"
But the bagpipe didn't say no.

Said the turtle to the bagpipe
"Please excuse me if I stare,
but you have the plaidest skin dear,
and you have the strangest hair.

"If I begged you pretty please love,
Could I give you just one squeeze love?"
And the bagpipe didn't say no.

@lovegame

Said the turtle to the bagpipe,
"Ah! You love me then, confess!
Let me whisper in your dainty ear
And hold you to my chest."

And so lovingly he teased her,
And so tenderly he squeezed herβ€”

And the bagpipe said, "AWOOOOGA!"

Said the turtle to the bagpipe,
"Did you honk, or bray, or neigh?
For "awooga" when you're kissed
Is such a heartless thing to say.

"Is it that I have offended?
Is it that our love has ended?"
And the bagpipe didn't say no.

@lovegame

So the turtle crept off crying
And he ne'er came back no more
And he left the bagpipe lying
On that smooth and sandy shore

So some night when tide is low there,
Just walk up and say "hello there!"
And politely ask the bagpipe
If my story's really soβ€”

I assure you, darling children,
The bagpipe won't say no.

@lovegame ah crap i knew it, i missed the best verse
@lovegame also missed "cuddled her and" rather than "lovingly he". other than that though just a couple small words wrong, i thought it'd be worse.
