BallShapedManCatching up on the third season of Picard. Not sure which episode but pretty early in.
I haven’t watched any of it other than a few clips, but it seems people like that season!
The first half of the first season and this season are worth the rest it seems. Otherwise they shifted too far from what makes Star Trek what it is. Though the one with Pike is really good and gets it. A bit too modern at times but overall the best attempt of any of the new stuff in my opinion.
I’ve tried Lower Decks a few times and I just can’t get into it. And the other one with the spore drive would have been fine in many other universes, but not this one.
Of the new shows I really enjoy Strange New Worlds, and enjoyed a fair amount of the more serious sections of Lower Decks. A lot of the humor in LD felt like it was trying too hard, and I often didn’t find it funny. I have a different sense of humor than some though, so that probably doesn’t help!
I did try both Discovery and Picard, but neither of them worked for me. Maybe someday I’ll feel like finishing them!

I’m hopeful for Star Trek Academy. The trailer looks good.
I’m definitely going to give it a try, I try to keep my expectations in check so I’m not disappointed though!
Good call! That’s why I don’t watch trailers once I’ve decided to watch something. Hype ruins stuff for me.
