@gsuberland when I am empress of the universe it shall be illegal to hold standards behind payments. Punishable by personally distributing a paper copy of said standard to every person in my empire. By hand. Individually.

How the heck are my people supposed to know if their babies beds conform to the safety standards if they can't check themselves?

@gsuberland I have half a mind to create the "Free Standards Organization" where we buy the standard doc, then take all the interaction 'facts' out and reproduce them as a new FSO standard that you can read for free.

@gsuberland A friend is trying to interface the electric motor of his sailboat on CAN bus, and is having a hard time finding all the definitions for the PGNs and the encoding formats. While we were searching, I found a document that looked promising. It’s an appendix to another document, and it costs $325 by itself. 😡
