There was another recent shooting that was caught on camera and was being memeād before the end of the day.
I donāt know anything about him or why he shot himself, but I remember it looked like he felt bad for scaring the the people in the room with the gun, and so quickly finished it off.
He was a politician who was caught having accepted a bribe, basically, which seems bizarrely mundane today.He said something to the effect of āDonāt look, this will affect youā before he did it, tooā¦ petty self-aware for someone whoās about to kill themselves in front of a crowd.

šš¦šThis is wild to read in 2025. It sounds like the case against him was legitimate because the case wasnāt able to be repealed, but most people today would barely blink at a no-bid contract finance bribe. Weāre living in a post-shame world.
And I only know about this man from the press conference/suicide sections of this article, but he seemed intelligent and empathetic. Even if he was guilty of bribery, itās tragic that he took his life.

This happens in the developing world on occasion, with the assumption is that insurance pays out to the family. Iām 99% sure doing the deed yourself means it doesnāt pay out at all. Tragic all the way down.
Except that this time it did pay out. The money didnāt come from life insurance, it came from his pension which wouldāve been lost had he lived and been convicted

You are both wrong. Nothing happened to his neck. After he finished pushing equality, tolerance, womenās and civil liberties for the day, he met up with his trans girlfriend and sadly, overdosed on fentanyl later that night.
