Quoting my past word for this. Of course the academic world has its problem, but what LLMs have done to accelerate the trend of brainrot and irresponsibility is far more alarming.
I cannot imagine a future where all thoughts and decisions are delegated to LLMs, while human are all mentally handicapped and becomes a pure Enter presser.
"banning generative AI is not a long-term solution; cultivating AI literacy is." This is far more important than a discussion of academic discipline.

@elfile4138 You are talking something completely different and you have to make a real argument on the scope of this article specifically (history instructor doing prompt injection) or it is not a valid counterpoint. I don't care what you feel about LLM, I care about whether this article is credible and my answer is no.

My argument is simply: make pointless courses, force students to pay with time, money and mental energy, you don't get to be
the person to argue AI bad.
