All the people are talking about it. They call Zeitgeist the most innovative journaling app of our generation.

I added a few new features recently. For example: Mood tracking! Track how you feel and get better insights into what makes or breaks your day.

That made me redesign the old calendar view. It's Stats now! Look at that mood graph! And even a map that shows all the places you've been. Incredible.

But that's not all! Zeitgeist's whole purpose is to make journaling quick and fun. You can now long press on a reminder notification and jot down a quick entry without even opening the app. 🚀

I also added this little friend to the header. Cute, isn't it?

Zeitgeist is available on the App Store. Give it a try, I think you might like it.

@marcel I love Zeitgeist 🙂

@marcel

Your enthusiasm and care really come through in these posts/details. Software *can* still be delightful. Thanks for sharing and building!

@marcel Hi Marcel, I often post retroactively photos and it would be great if Zeitgeist could use the photo's timestamp as a post date. May be an edge case, so take it just as an inspiration.
@yves Hm. What if you select two photos with different timestamps?
@marcel Valid point. Also, I like the clean and thoughtful UI of Zeitgeist – and would not like to be responsible for any clutter for such an edge case. Throw my idea in the 🗑️
@yves I don't think it's a bad idea it just comes with a few hard to answer questions attached to it. :)
@marcel love the app and how quickly you’re fleshing it out. would it be possible to export the other info along with the text of the note (location, mood, etc)? I don’t know if there are standards for that kind of data, but it would be cool to be able to copy over to apps like Obsidian (not to replace this app, but stay in sync with it)
@robstruble I won't make data export into anything but an actual export and afaik, all of that gets exported already.
@marcel when I tap the share icon on an entry and select “Share as… > Markdown” it will save/copy the date, time, text, links, etc, but not location data or mood. Am I going about it the wrong way?
@robstruble You are not but I build that feature so that I can easily copy/paste my entries from Zeitgeist into Day One and there I didn't want all of that stuff as part of my markdown export. Might be nice to make it an option, though.
