Today in #Valheim, a strange thing happened. I was returning to the Weston Workshop with a cart load of materials, and I think my feather cape must've rubbed up against it, because when I arrived at the workshop and parked the cart inside, it floated into the air!! It was a strange enchantment indeed. I've never encountered anything like it before in this world, or the previous one. I pushed it around the workshop and it moved easily. I managed to jump into it and my weight put it back on the ground, but stepping off had it float back into the air. I left it inside the workshop, fearing it might float away if I took it out, and went to bed. In the morning, the enchantment was gone, and it was a perfectly normal wooden cart once again.

Earlier, in #Valhiem, I was hanging out with Gerla (@Firlefanz) working on the Tar Growth traps.

We managed to get the iron cages positioned so that the growths would spawn directly inside them. The only problem was that they'd then proceed to smash their way out.

Even earlier, in #Valheim, I was hanging out with Sten (@si_fuller) who'd been adventuring in the Mistlands when he was viciously beaten and left for dead by some very strong seekers and soldiers, just because he wandered into their lair and tried to wipe them all out.

Poor Sten then spent the afternoon replacing the equipment that the soldiers refused to return.

Tough day for Sten.

I didn't see @skyfire747. I think he was at architect school.

@Firlefanz

@dgar @Firlefanz Sten actually kind of enjoyed making all new gear, the bugs can have the old stuff.

@si_fuller

We will get revenge anyway!

@dgar

@Firlefanz @dgar We do need more seal fragments, but I think I'm done with Mistlands for a while.

@si_fuller

I'm okay with clearing out some more mines. Extensive experience...

Pro tip: Bring a LOT of ooze bombs. And a Staff of Embers. (Frost also works great on bugs.)

@dgar

@Firlefanz @dgar This particular mine has a 1 star, a 2 star, and a soldier, all together. They have smashed up a lot of stairs too, you the mine may not be navigatable
@Firlefanz @dgar This is the offending hellhole. I don't know if there's even any seal fragments in it, to be honest.

@si_fuller

I should be able to make some time in my morning tomorrow, to take a look. (Do not want to fall down into anything I cannot get out, though.)

@dgar

@Firlefanz @dgar Seriously though, this isn't reverse psychology, it's an awful place without much good stuff.

@si_fuller

It happens. And if the gear isn't needed anymore, maybe we can just leave it.

Still, if we need more fragments, I'm game to help with the next mine.

@dgar

@dgar

Really want to help Sten recover his gear and punish those Seekers for his death.

Alas, the gods won't release me from my work prison until later in the day...

@si_fuller

@dgar the mysterious case of the floating cart.

You weren't lagging were you ? πŸ€”

I have had a floating Lox when I was lagging...

@skyfire747 it wasn't lag. I could move it, interact with it, put stuff in and out of it.... it just rubbed on the feather cape! That's my best explanation!! πŸ˜‚
@dgar I wish this game were accessible to the blind. It sounds fascinating!

@dgar Is Loki pranking you?

Also, you have a very interesting organization system. What do you store in 'Industrial'? Nails of a certain size, say about 23 centimeters in science units?

@qboq we're all metric here in #Valheim.

The storage naming scheme came about when the first two chests were labeled "Metal" and "Rock"... we got a bit carried away at that point. Covers for animal hides, heave metal for iron, black metal for... well, black metal. Roll holds wood and logs, Glam has glowy things and coins, Synth for things we make at the workshop stations like linen and nails...

I believe Industrial holds some leftover armour and weapons.

@dgar In the early version of the game, using portals often broke ships. Getting out of a portal near a ship often had it floating 50ft in the air only to suddenly realize gravity exists like Wile E. Coyote and crash to the ground. I don't know who the god of gravity is, but he is a jerk.
