I know many of us hit this moment a lot but still, it is absolutely profound how rich cloistered jagoffs EVERY year just monumentally fuck everything up even worse than they did the previous year and ANYone still says no these jagoffs deserve outsized control of society and to remain alive.
"No, son, no art for you, I am sending you to Yale University to get the best education, that you may be 'networked' with likeminded sociopaths and eventually assume your proper genetic role in the capitalist utopia by Destroying Everything Good You See or Touch."
Like that^ has happened for generations and I honestly don't think the actual BROAD consensus is "this is fine" but there seems to be a manufactured Platonic Form of a consensus that it is fine and nobody just says "Platonic Forms are abstract wank so it is not real." A false consciousness, if you will.
Like it's not even remotely a secret anymore. They just yell the shit out loud. Every piece of social critique/political philosophy Elon Musk has thumbtyped in the last four years is basically "Everything you KNEW, LEARNED or INTUITED about how to work virtuously to create a good community is wrong & you BEING AN ABSOLUTE CUNT IS THE GOAL."
That's their Superman. LIke the AVATAR of this Philosophy ofTthe Good. The shittiest most vile person in word or deed who could be imagined by the hackiest writer wielding no nuance whatsover - the Platonic Form of the "smart" fellow-nepo-babies people who bankroll him is basically "THAT piece of shit should literally be everyone's god."

We ALL have the same data. We all wield a capacity for empathy because it is how we learn to be human. We CAN weigh dumb dogma v its adherents fucking EVERYthing up. Shit-belief-X -> bad outcome X A MILLION.

It takes a COMMITMENT to being a malevolent prick to say "no, cause-and-effect is wrong."

People for CENTURIES told stories as instructive lessons of living optimally with each other & the world, most - if not all -forming an unofficial consensus of "being a dick is a bad thing."

Imagine a philosophy affected specifically to beat back the tide of all sensible human learning and wisdom.

Here we are.

And ok, look, I know the tenor of this initial joke and subsequent thread reads like some kind of advocacy that rich people and the Judas-functionary-folks who keep them rich should be culled by whatever means necessary as the most rudimentary launch-point toward making society efficient, commonsensical and just. And if you read it like that, sure, yeah. Good-o. Have a fun night, you!

@GrimmReality We have to go after the jagoffs' wealth shareholders.
