So Apple gave the wsj the sales numbers?

@daringfireball I bought the Air after always buying the Pro Max in previous years, and I love it. I bought it knowing its limitations. I can’t believe how heavy the Pro Max is when someone hands me theirs to show me something. Air feels just right in my hands. I hope Apple sticks with it, makes improvements, and actually market it.

Perhaps Apple hasn’t done a good job marketing pointing out the differences between the models. I guess lot of people assume that the models are mostly similar.

@daringfireball ‘It _is_ Apple’s thinnest smartphone yet. You can measure it.’

Its thinnest part is the thinnest part of any iPhone yet.

iPhone Air: 11.32mm inc camera bump.
iPhone mini: 9.32mm inc camera bump

‘In fact, if you don't include the original iPhone and iPhone 3G, then there isn't a single iPhone that jumps over the 10mm line until you reach the iPhone 12 Pro Max.’

Yes, The iPhone Air Is The Thinnest iPhone Ever - But There's A Catch - BGR

The iPhone Air has a body thickness of 5.64mm, but this measurement doesn't account for the camera, which protrudes an additional 5.68mm, totaling 11.32mm.

@daringfireball Regularly inspecting the <title> element of the articles you link to is perhaps one of my favorite things that you do.
@daringfireball “Show me someone who says the iPhone Air is a poor camera and I’ll show you a terrible photographer who doesn’t know what the fuck they’re talking about.”

@daringfireball Re that last sentence: What *is* it with this new trend in reporting? Just recently The Guardian referred to the USS Gerald R Ford as being "regarded as the world’s newest and largest aircraft carrier".

"Regarded"?! These are eminently checkable facts! (newest: false; largest: true)

@daringfireball and what about the speakerphone issues and trouble listening to music? That should be expounded upon by the Journal as well, rather than leaving it to imagination.
@daringfireball my daughter bought an Air and she loves it. First thing she mentioned to me was that she didn't understand the reports about the speakerphone being bad as she uses it all the time with no issue
