Great that they’re getting restitution, but how many editorial decisions at other newsrooms were chilled in the intervening years?
It’s hard to tell, but at larger papers such as The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post it’s probably an inside job – i.e., they self-censor because of who owns them.
