@TechTangents I’m guessing they did something like outputting left + inverted right to the left speaker, and right + inverted left to the right speaker, since most vocals would be panned to center? Would be interesting to see a schematic.

The PAiA Vocal Zapper 6730 (from the 1980s or possibly even the 1970s) used a very simple circuit.
