@daringfireball Unfortunately wireless CarPlay is very buggy with the new N1 chip of the iPhone 17. You clearly realise how much you use it when it stops working.

@janwuyts @daringfireball completely agree. I recently bought the new Renault R5 and CarPlay is constantly disconnecting. I’ve no idea if that’s my new iPhone 17 Pro, or something on Renaults side. However, I would say it’s beholden on Apple to ensure CarPlay service works as advertised, even if that means pressuring/supporting manufacturers.

@Davidnsteer @daringfireball for me it’s the same car (BMW X1) where CarPlay worked fine on my iPhone 13 mini but constantly disconnects with the iPhone 17 Pro. So it is definitely the phone. My car does not have wired CarPlay (that’s on BMW) so it’s wireless or nothing for me.
