It was built in the mid-13th century and has been rebuilt a few times due to various wars over the years (Palatine war of succession, WWI, etc.) It features some of the few surviving frescos by German, Baroque era, painter and architect Cosmas Damian Asam. It’s now home to a local museum and is often used as a performance venue.

The Villa della Regina is a Baroque- style palace located in Turin, Italy. It was built in the early 1600s for Prince-Cardinal Maurice of Savoy and features many large frescoes, which was the style at the time. It was heavily damaged during WWII but after some renovation it opened to the public for tours and hosting cultural events. In 1997 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
