TamamiI felt like I didn't have the luxury of time, but I went to the artists' talk hosted by the local, very posh, gallery today. I get a huge dose of motivation and inspiration by listening to artists. This was even more special, as she, a well-known landscape/plein air artist, talked about art as an activism for nature conservation. By painting what we love, what we want to see and keep, rather than what it *is* or what it may become, we are lending our voice to the conservation effort. 1/🧵
I'd never thought of it that way about my own work. It really was a light bulb moment. Now I'm looking at my calendar and map, trying to plan several more plein air sessions before the weather turns. Oh, this is a lesser goldfinch that came to feast on my spent Maximillian sunflowers by our front door. That gives me an excuse to delay the yard cleanup 😆 end/🧵
