@NVAccess Hi, do you have an idea why MBrola support isn't available on NVDA's built-in ESpeak-ng? The MBrola voices, such as mb-br1, are missing. I discovered this fact when I went to investigate why MBrola support is missing on the ArchLinux package for ESpeak as well, the reason I haven't found yet.
@clv0 Good question - we do have a request to add this: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/13840 and it looks like there was an add-on created, called, logically: "Espeak with Mbrola included" - This is available in the add-on store but has not been updated since last year. It is currently listed as not compatible but it may still work if you override that check - I haven't looked (but of course, do be careful if you do override that check and keep an eye out for any issues).

@NVAccess OK, thanks!
@clv0 I just saw this post on the eSpeak-NG list: https://groups.io/g/espeak-ng/message/5096 from Tobias Platen noting that he "will take mainainance of the MBROLA synthesizer, and start working on version 4." - and that he is going to give a talk on it as well.
@NVAccess Seems great; I hope ESpeak-ng plus MBrola catch up as a new popular synth option, including more contributors.
