"Nine for nine: After tonight's election, Democrats now control the nine biggest communities across Connecticut. They made pickups in Norwalk and New Britain most notably this year."

And that of course is good, but Joe Sce is out of the Tolland Town Council, and honestly, that makes me more happy than even the Mamdani race. I'm only annoyed that Sce got more votes than the rest of his ticket. He's small stakes in the big scheme, but what an asshole.

@cocoaphony How do you like living in CT so far?
@Chuck_ORourke Love it. It was a great move for us. The weather is so much more to our liking. And it feels good to be in a state that so often tries to help people, even if it falls short, rather than one that spent so much political effort trying to be cruel, even when it was thwarted. I open the paper, read the latest debate in the legislature, and it's often actually something worth debating between people of good will but different opinions. It feels good.

@cocoaphony I had a young couple from Iceland renting the house next door and they asked me what it was like here and as I was thinking about the answer I realized we have roughly 9 months of good weather. Maybe more depending on how you feel about heat and humidity. And the winters have been mild for five years.

It was too boring for them and they moved to Boston for the husbands residency.
