‘Israel’ booby-traps children’s toys in Gaza leaving behind several casualties: health ministry - Lemmy

Children in the Gaza Strip are facing a lethal, hidden threat from the remnants of war, including unexploded ordnance and devices intentionally disguised as toys, according to Gaza’s Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muneer Alboursh. Alboursh issued a powerful condemnation of the practice, stating that the deliberate placement of these devices poses an acute and ongoing danger to the youngest residents of the territory. According to the Ministry of Health, items such as dolls, teddy bears, and colorful balls are being used to lure and injure children. “When a child reaches for the ‘pretty toy,’ the horrific truth explodes in their face,” he wrote.

I believe that Israel soldiers are perfectly capable of this atrocities, as they have shown in the past and also reported by several humanitary organisations. But we have to take this news with a grain of salt, since there is no other news that confirms it.
What did Al Jazeera’s investigation into Israeli war crimes in Gaza reveal?

The I-Unit investigated thousands of videos and photos posted to social media by Israeli soldiers.

Literally more journalists died in Gaza after October 7 than in 4 years of war in Ukraine. Israel has been intentionally targeting any journalists they can find in Palestine.
Targeted killing of journalists in Gaza sends chilling message

The targeted killing of an Al Jazeera correspondent in Gaza over the weekend was a notable moment even for a war that has been remarkably blood-soaked for journalists.

News Graveyards: How Dangers to War Reporters Endanger the World

Journalist Nick Turse (Fellow, Type Media Center) examines how, since the 2000s, national governments and terrorist groups – from Israel, Syria’s Assad regime and the United States to the Islamic State – have found ways to curtail conflict coverage through myriad means, from repressive policies to armed attack. All have killed journalists and helped to foster a culture of impunity, turning conflict zones like Syria and Gaza into “news graveyards.”
