Flight is delayed so I'm working backwards (backwords?) through old Wordles.

Funny story, my wife and I play doubles (we switch out turns) and one time my wife put "LEUDS" as the start word and I scoffed "haha, not a word!".

It is a word, and now I religiously start every wordle with "LEUDS".

That is all.

Hmm, which now reminds me of being 12 or 13 or so and getting a board game called "Backwords" which had a bunch of cards with a word spelled backwards. You read it out, and the first person to say the word forwards gets the point.

"GORF"

"FROG"

etc.

My older brother, who could not for the life of him beat me in saying a backwards word forwards, accused me of 'reading the cards beforehand".

I shall remind him of this when I see him next week.

(To be fair, I did indeed one time read all the Trivia Pursuit cards beforehand, and beat everyone at every Trivia Pursuit for as long as we had that Genus.)

@jaz

Silly man! We women are always right 😘

P.S. My favourite starting word is ADIEU

@TCMuffin that was mine until Leuds!
@jaz I always start with IRATE
