Folks, I have a new video today where I'm very excited to announce a new dishwasher powder on the market.

Why am I so excited? Because it's vindicated every single one of my detergent opinions.

I was right about dishwasher pods, and now I can prove it

@TechConnectify I appear to have the same dishwasher as you, or at least a similar model based on the rinse-aid dispenser. However, I cannot figure out how to determine if the rinse-aid is empty outside of just occasionally pouring more in until it starts to overflow. There is an indicator that implies that it's some kind of light or something but it's never lit up for me, does it light up for you? Trying to figure out if I have a defective unit or not.

It's a clear viewing window. When the window is the color of your rinse aid you have enough. When it isn't you need to add more.
If your rinse aid is clear however it can get tough to tell but even then you usually can see a difference, it's just much more difficult to do so.

@Wally @TechConnectify so funny because every rinse aid I've had, including the brand that came with the unit in a sample pack, has been clear.

Yeah, the general trend to remove dyes makes that little button shaped viewport a lot less helpful.
My current dishwasher has a longer viewport window with a metallic backing so you can see the approximate level and make out clear rinse aid better.
Again even with the button window there is a visual difference between when it's filled with liquid and when it's empty. It's just not as easy to discern as it is when the liquid is colored.

@Wally @TechConnectify well thanks for the clarification, I thought I was losing my mind
