This sounds really innocuous, but Teen Vogue just axed their whole politics desk — everybody working on it has been laid off. This is devastating: it was a publication with a lot of reach and it was consistent in how it spoke out against this administration.

There was some rumor about Bezos buying Vogue, and I've been wondering what would become of the Teen Vogue politics for a few months now....

The political commentary coming from Teen Vogue was the only thing that I found interesting about the Vogue content.

I hope those writers find a new outlet and their followers go with them.

@lucyruthe @zeblarson we should try to find an connect then with non profit business leaders who can help them get a real news org started. I’d crowd fund the shit out of that, their reporting was great.

@usspacenut @lucyruthe I suspect they’ll be in motion to do that already; the thing now are cooperative newsrooms and nonprofits. Hopefully they waste no time because we’ll need to signal boost the shit out of it.
