@joshginter I would say that I like it, but I don’t $3500 like it. I just got the new iPad and in most cases I’m more likely to use that (easier to get in and out of, doesn’t cut me off from people around me). I use it on average 3ish times a week.
Every now and then I’ll watch something on it when I’m alone, but that’s rare. It is mainly a macOS external monitor. That use case is really nice, because I can mix in other native apps and have macOS just be my dev environment.
@ross And that right there (the macOS external display) is the feature I’m most intrigued about.
Do you find it easier for, say, reading news and such? Or is iPad better for that?
@joshginter The Vision Pro *should* be better, but in practice the iPad is. Lots of websites have weird tap targets that are hard with the Vision Pro. And most of the apps I do any reading in are only available as iPad apps or even not at all (Apple News, NY Times, NetNewsWire, Apple Books).
If you are reading something long form on a well designed site (or at least not a poorly designed one), it’s nice. If not, I’d rather just use the iPad.
