These incredible ibex defy gravity climbing a near-vertical dam in search of nutritious salt.

@wonderofscience @Lazarou I remember watching that when it was first broadcast.
@wonderofscience Now my vertical evolution seems so... ... ... flatlined
@wonderofscience I've seen them when we were rock climbing in the Dolomites... us slowly climbing up with ropes and all the things, and them just casually running up the adjacent rock wall.
@wonderofscience holy shit the meme was real
@wonderofscience I can't get past watching for ten seconds. IT'S TOO SCARY.

@wonderofscience

No matter how harsh the environment, Life will always find a way. :D

@wonderofscience

Makes Ötzi the Iceman seem more impressive, considering he managed to hunt one of these down for his last meal...

@wonderofscience I would call this living on the edge.

@wonderofscience

Ouh là là ! Ça me donne le vertige, j'en ai des frissons ! Ces animaux sont vraiment exceptionnels ! 😉😼👍

@wonderofscience Argh, why are you running?!?

@wonderofscience

The miracle isn’t that the animal is defying gravity. The miracle is its incredible ability to balance on such tiny footholds. Gravity is doing a perfect job of holding the ibex onto the stones.

🥸🥸🥸

@DziadekMick @wonderofscience The miracle I see is that they taught one of them to operate a video camera.
@wonderofscience impressive *and* anxiety-inducing!
@wonderofscience It makes me nervous to watch. Like, I want to tell them, "No, little fluffies, don't do that, it's dangerous!" But they're fine!
