For anyone who frequents a low-packaging store (like #denieuwegraanschuur in Amersfoort), I can recommend the vegan mayonaise from Jean Baton. The mayo is great, but more importantly: the glass jars are very nice for storing food. I use them when I buy stuff (like nuts) from https://www.denieuwegraanschuur.nl

The jars are nice and straight without annoying curves like most other glass jars and the label also comes off easily (in the dishwasher).

@matthijskooijman not sure whether #label getting off in #dishwasher is a #feature, not a #bug. It will stuck on exit #water filter and make trouble, at least that was experience when similar label went off in mine. I don't put #jars in dishwasher anymore for that reason. I wish there was proper recycling for these jars and #lids ...

@silpol I think this partical label usually comes off in one piece and maybe even stays in place and can be peeled off when the dishwasher is done. Will have to recheck when our current jar of mayonaise is done.

As for recycling these jars, isn't that what the glass recycling is for? Or do you mean that the process behind the glass bin is ineffecient or otherwise inadequate?
