There's a big discussion in the german pen&paper-community about artists using KI and not declaring it.

As an avid hater of AI-slop, I think I'll post more Works in Progress to show how illustrations start out and how they are developing.

@Eatsbluecrayon in my opinion, AI makes the experience worse. Art (in my understanding) is about enjoying things other people did on their own. The imperfections in their creations is what art makes beautiful.
Generated stuff may be technically a good illustration but i cannot value it.

@Stege And mostly they aren't even "technically" good. As with the monkey and the typewriter, you have to promt tirelessly to achieve a reasonably useful result. And people told me that this is the true "work" they put in the "artwork". Ick...

@Sumire @Stege With that logic, if you are having a coffee at Starbucks you are a Barista now, because you told the person behind the counter that you wanted an extra shot of Espresso.
Or a master chef, because you told the guy at MacDs to hold off the pickles on your burger.

@Sumire @Stege You weren't able to describe your coffee, because you never made coffee yourself and in the end you get the most mediocre coffee ever, because it's a blend of everything. 😁
