It originally opened in 1891 as the administrative center and was converted into a performance & community space in 1979. After being damaged by a 2015 fire, it’s been renovated and restored to most of its former glory. It was built in the mid-13th century and has been rebuilt a few times due to various wars over the years (Palatine war of succession, WWI, etc.) It features some of the few surviving frescos by German, Baroque era, painter and architect Cosmas Damian Asam. It’s now home to a local museum and is often used as a performance venue.

It was built in the early 1600s for Prince-Cardinal Maurice of Savoy and features many large frescoes, which was the style at the time. It was heavily damaged during WWII but after some renovation it opened to the public for tours and hosting cultural events. In 1997 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
