#EzraKlein's analysis has a valid core with some uncomfortable truths that need to discussed. E.g. why voters have lost out among so many demographics. He claims it is because the Democrats have gone too far left.
His only receipt for this is a poll that shows more people now think Democrats are too liberal. There are other explanations for this, for example that Republicans have consistently lied about Democrat policies or that the Overton window has shifted significantly to the right.
He goes on to claim that the Democrats opened to the left through figures like Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, completely neglecting that the party elites have fought Mamdani tooth and nail.
