Since some people think I'm making things up: This is my #Spotify. Zero liked songs from this interpret. Skimmed through top 5 and 🤷. I am pretty certain I've never heard any of those. Not my genre. Not in my bubble.
I brought this up because #TaylorSwift popped (again) in mainstream Czech media today and I was amused that since the last time I did not stumble upon this apparently omni-present pop-culture star. Apart from some media mentions here and there.

But I checked her whole discography on my Spotify account and can confirm that there is zero "likes".
*On a level that it would actually be somehow hooked in my memory.

@MichalBryxi Those songs may have been in movies! A bunch of her songs have been in TV shows too.
I find since I stopped listening to the radio however many years ago, my popular music awareness has shrunk dramatically. I look at the top artists (aside from Taylor. I’m a big fan) and know maybe half their names and none of their songs. I know Drake is one of the biggest artists and I don’t know a single song of his. These days it’s easy to just not hear other music.

- People outside of #paragliding bubble hardly ever heard of #ChriglMaurer
- Unless you're into awesome trail performances, the name #KílianJornet quite likely does not ring a bell

The assumption that because something is popular (in my bubble) that people will generally know about it, is quite likely not true.
