TONIGHT on #TheMythicSix in the #MMRPG!

The long-awaited fight (made longer by technical difficulties) between Spotlight and Fight Girl gets underway! Despite giving it the old college try, Fight Girl proves too much for Spotlight. She took a couple of hits, but ultimately, the abserdly powerful Fight Girl ends up taking the win.

But all is not lost, as Spotlight's showmanship and performance helped her gather a lot of funds for T'only Goode Pizza, something that'll make the owner (...)

very happy.

Regrouping on the shore, Bobby Blaine seemed very amused and entertained, while Crosshair tends to Fight Girl's concerns. Thanks to regeneration, Spotlight is able to heal up pretty quickly after, despite being knocked loopy.

Buying eveyrone a take-out steak dinner, Blaine talks about his success with the patient who lost her ambulance after the carjacking last session, but there seems to be some growing concerns about what happened at the museum with Fight Girl.

Fight Girl (...)

admits that she's had something of a rough time as a hero. She claims she's had some bouts of carelessness, thinking back to her debut as a hero in New Halcyon, saving a runaway school bus... and accidentally getting her costume ripped off in the process. She reveals that the museum was actually her fault starting it, but Thunder Mask took the blame to help her save face. Something that she feels bad about due to her admiration of Thunder Mask, his apparent growing disappointment in (...)

her, and another string of hard luck. Spotlight gives her some words of encouragement to her new sparring partner while Crosshair shows a little affection with a caring hand on her shoulder.

Crosshair meanwhile tells the Mythic Six that he had visited White Knight's house before, passing along an invitation for the hero to join the Vanguardians, a new hero team being established by his mentor, Star and Stripe (of My Hero Academia fame!). Crosshair elected to nominate White Knight for it (...)

due to his being a legacy hero with a lot of name recognition and experience to draw from, while also having a lot of upward momentum.

Also, White Knight being Jamie's player character, giving him a way to conclude his in-game story. We're gonna miss you, Jamie. <3

Ebony Wings shows up, and Crosshair IMMEDIATELY changes demeanor, stemming from some issue between the two of them. Crosshair looks like he wants to keep his distance, while Ebony seems remorseful. The subject isn't (...)

pressed as Crosshair asks Fight Girl to fly him back to his agency. Bobby also buggers off for a meet-up with Crimson Call, but seems to be fiddling with something in his pocket... what're you doing, Bobby?

Ebony reveals that the information on the thumb drive the Pinstripe Gang had tried smuggling contained data on ships coming in, but it was incomplete. She sumises that there might be more data at Lovell's Jewelry Store, where the Pinstripe Gang had emerged from after the jewelry (...)

store robbery.

En route, they see the cowgirl with the masked horse, Desperada, once more. Ebony thinks about whether or not she might be relation to the hero Desperado, a cowboy-themed hero who "dressed like an outlaw but stood for the people." Apparently, he died eight years agoduring the onset of the Superhero Registration Act. Ebony, however, isn't sure if Desperada is good or evil, as reports of acts for both have surfaced. But as it's all hearsay, it isn't worth chasing after (...)

her at present (the correct call here!).

Going to the store, which is under investigation, the heroes spot someone in an office above the building that SHOULD be completely on police lockdown. Devising a plan to enter, Great Caesar's Ghost stealthfully steps in while Vega finds and disables the getaway motorcycle. Riven and Spotlight maintain point while DangerMan looks in through the window. Devising a plan to corner the man inside, who has gils for some reason, GCG drops down to stun (...)

his brain while DangerMan binds him up. His self-established infrared alarms didn't help him there!

The man, identifying himself as Bret Fine, tells him that he was formerly a member of the dock workers who had recently lost his job. The Swashbucklers took advantage of him and introduced him to their new leader, Maelstrom, who turned him into one of them, apparently, giving him gills and making him INCREDIBLY thirsty.

Bert admits that he needed to get the cargo manifest, and that the (...)

data in the jewelry store had what he needed. He also had an encrypted file talking about getting some extra muscle, including someone named Tiger Shark and someone named Kugo Sakamata. Bert says he's being cooerced into helping the Swashbucklers because they have his family. A wife and two children. Getting the address of his home where they're apparently being held, the Mythic Six decide to have Bert go into hiding while the Mythic Six decide to go help the family, along with Ebony (...)

Wings.

However, before he can get away, he's knocked off the motorcycle by an anchor-like hook and dragged into an alleyway. There, the Mythic Six and Ebony Wings see a gang of Swashbucklers... who have taken on a more amphibious appearance!

We return to New Halcyon next week (I hope)!
