oneiromanticor@irgendwienet @royaards @levampyre Hm. I just imagined some arrows pointing in the directions of rotation and everything seems correct. Bike wheel goes clockwise, thus turning the bar (and connected gear) it stands on ccw. The belt goes to the other bar, still connected to the bike wheel, turning that bar ccw, too. All's fine.
@oneiromanticor both bars go ccw - that's right. the gears seem to touch each other (but one could discuss that) thus will block if both bars rotate in the same direction. @royaards @levampyre
levampyre@irgendwienet I think the left bar goes into the same gear as the right one, powering the same gear. The second gear is not connected to any bar, but touches the first gear and thus moves the belt. It's an issue of perspective. But then it is also just a cartoon and we should probably not overthink it?
