@visnudeva You may not be aware that Ikey, Josh and I subsequently stepped in to save Solus in the spring of 2023, after a three month server outage during the winter of '23 nearly killed it.
We then spent a good few months helping Solus get back on track and helped it get its processes, operations and infrastructure running smoothly again, with a few of the critical processes -- including the switch to a recipe monorepo -- being upgraded to AerynOS (then Serpent OS) standards.
Ikey was indeed very passionate about AerynOS.
He shared that his wife almost died just before christmas of '24, due to the UK NHS not taking her complaints of persistent stomach pains seriously. This took a heavy toll on him and his finances as we understand it.
In addition, Ikey's health had sadly been deteriorating to the point where he was having to use assistive technology to code, due to persistent hand, wrist and arm pains.
So as we understand it, he was in a very tough spot.
