This is our thread for the @eth0 project on serial decoding data from the HP 1653B logic analyzer.
There isn't a clear path yet also depends on how much we want to challenge ourselves.

I am currently thinking, we write either a sigrok driver.
Or we even cut that short and write minimal python just create a dump that Pulseview can import.
Also depends on my friend who joins in, they might want to go hardmode and do everything from scratch.
The sigrok driver be interesting because it could be upstreamed lol. #hp1653b
Registering a new driver with libsigrok #sigrok seems easy enough
There doesn't seem to be a plugin interface for hardware drivers unlike the decoder API so we forked libsigrok and are adding it straight to the source: https://github.com/Dantali0n/sla0/pull/1
Unfortunately, the pulseview git seems to be down making it very difficult to compile the whole stack git://sigrok.org/pulseview.git
Progress is being made, we have a USB serial driver!
It does nothing yet though
These posts haven't been getting any traction and so I fear its just noise for people who follow me.
This will be the last one, you can use #RSS on https://dantalion.nl to get notified when I write a full blog post and the project is done.
@atro That super nice you read them.
Its not really about engagement though, its more that it appears every reply to yourself in a thread appears in the timeline of all your followers (back at the top), so its quite noisy I found out.
The project will continue.
