in other news, it looks like it's time to perform my most dreaded photography task... cleaning the sensor on my z9. the images are starting to develop pokadots at higher apertures :(
@jerry lol tell me about it, I hate cleaning my glasses
@jerry Just spit on it and give it a good rub on your shirt, it'll buff out!
@catsalad I found a much easier way
@jerry That make me wince a little! Lol

@catsalad @jerry That image really needs a CW tag!

*triggered and traumatized* πŸ˜‚

@croyle @catsalad @jerry What's really scary... I'm sure people have tried cleaning their cameras just like thatπŸ˜‘
@jerry @catsalad now this is shitposting
@jerry I can see myself turning around because a dog wanted attention, knocking the door shut and somehow turning it on.
@jerry @catsalad A tablespoon or two of coarse sand in there should help to scrub things clean. A drizzle of acetone should help with cleaning up those troublesome stained plastics!

@jerry @catsalad ah yes, the der8auer way. He actually does this, but with motherboards.

@jerry @catsalad Shuddered so hard I could walk through walls.
@jerry I never trusted myself with digital sensors. Worth the money to have someone clean that. My old a6000 used to get shit on the sensor all the time.
@jerry one of the reasons I like my super-zoom: fewer lens changes, less dirt.
@jerry I find cleaning the sensor on my Z6III to be a breeze. The sensor is pretty resistant to scratches. As long as you use the right tools it should be fine. I clean mine many times a year.
@brunoph it got a lot easier when I bought the right tool to clean the sensor. It’s still a bit nerve wracking to be cleaning such a delicate thing on such an expensive piece of equipment though
@jerry https://lenspen.com/products/sensorklear-ii Can recommend these things. I think there are also folks that make a like 'wipe on a stick' thing that's supposed to be good too but I have not used those
