A three-star general serving on the Pentagon’s Joint Staff has been pushed out of his position following months of sustained tensions with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, according to people familiar with the matter. The general’s stalled promotion also contributed to his early retirement, the sources said.

McGee probably thought that extrajudicial killings of fishermen and ordering and aircraft carrier into a Cat 5 hurricane were bad ideas. I wonder how many times Hegseth showed up drunk? Hitler fired Generals that weren't "yes men", too.
On the bright side, I don't think they'll be able to fire all of the stand up people. It will have to be men, since they are purging the women in command positions.

@w7voa Because purging the officer corps and valuing loyalty over competence worked so well for Joe Stalin's forces in Finland in 1940-1941 and for Nguyễn Văn Thiệu's forces in South Vietnam in 1975. China and Russia are watching. Unlike President Dumpster Fire, they have studied history.
