A couple of weekends ago, I joined a bike ride organized by a good Palestinian friend and colleague in support of Palestine. Every time I watched a movie about the Holocaust, I found myself wondering what I would have done if I had lived during that era. And here we are living through another genocide. Over the past two years, I’ve been devastated by the images coming out of Gaza and the West Bank - and by my own lack of action to support Palestinians in pain. 1/n
I’ll admit, I was hesitant to participate at first because I didn’t want to do something that only made me feel better without truly making a difference. Throughout the 8KM ride across town, people cheered for us, clapped, raised their fists, and offered encouraging smiles - it was energizing and moving.
