@FigFan55 Thanks! That's what I was going for. The text is from the book Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. There's a movie of the same name based on the book you may have heard of.

@cxxvii wait holy shit I've read that book, how did I not pick that up! It has been a minute since I read it (been meaning to revisit it since I heard there's a fourth book coming out in the series). Also such a coincidence, @goblin and I decided to build a lighthouse yesterday lmao
