@daringfireball My guess is that Apple doesn’t want to secede any ground voluntarily. Apple is probably thinking that certain regulators hate them so much that if they gave an inch, the regulators will still want a foot. So in the they’d end up losing 12.1”. By the time all these cases are resolved, that 12.1 inches will have more than covered lawyers fee. And they’ve already lost almost all goodwill with devs. TimApple doesn’t seem to care. The company is already well on way to enshittification
