Dead quiet in the cabin, except the sound of steady rain on the tin roof. ❤️
@TheEddieShow I grew up in a house with a tin roof. I always loved that sound.

@Archergal

I've turned all the lights out, sitting here listening.

@TheEddieShow We had an older house without lots of insulation upstairs. The rain always sounded So LOUD, but in a good way.
Our old roof had to be repainted silver every so often, when it got too rusty. :) #PreciousMemories #HowTheyLinger

@Archergal

There's also an oak tree dropping acorns on the roof from time to time, especially when it's windy. Sounds like a gunshot and startles me. I'll get used to it. 🤷

@TheEddieShow Yeah, that’s happening around me too! Not in my yard, but in neighboring yards, dropping on sheds and stuff.
#BANG

@Archergal

The neighbor's carport was a few feet away from my window in the other place. Acorns fell on the metal roof, so I'm familiar with the sound.

@TheEddieShow

It's late here and I'm still awake, so I'm going to use this thought to try and get to sleep.

I find the sound of rain on a roof or in a tent is surprisingly relaxing. I guess it's the feeling of protection from the elements, the outside world, in your little bubble. Cozy.
