@olafurw huh! "schnacken" is used in colloquial German for "chatting". Never knew where that comes from!
@equinox @olafurw comes from low-german (plattdeutsch/plattdüütsch). we (in northern germany) also have words like klönsnack (casual conversation) as colloquial terms when speaking standard german, which i'd be surprised if the rest of germany adopted it.
