not taking sides here... or maybe i am... but i do find it galling when untrained unskilled peeps take exception to findings from sophisticated research & engineering studies that are necessarily forward-looking [ie, taking into account that the climate crisis IS making everything else worse, & thus history less relevant], by bleating that "it's never done that in the 42 years i've lived here!" Furthermore, the clear responsibility of MSM when reporting such things is to be more than just stenographers of the uninformed whinges. maybe if #thegreatunwashed would pay more attention to what's coming at us, & stop voting for cretins who ignore & accelerate it... oh what's the point, peeps are fools, & we're all fucked.

@MsDropbear42 I'm just gunna say that the 2011 flood was unprecedented, as was the 2013 flood.🙄 Subsequent floods have also created havoc...because of rain bombs.
The driving factor is Climate Change. Insurers have been warning - and have been ignored - for more than 20 years. It's a gamble that they no long are prepared to bet on.
