I wonder how long before Apple will release a patch to yell at you for "No, you can't use this non-PD charger, especially USB-A to USB-C."

@sikachu the problem in OP is kind of already happening because Qi/wireless charging rates are so much lower than the charge rates you get over USB-C

@nateberkopec I think nowadays if you charge your iOS device with a slow charger it'll actually tell you. They just need to port that to macOS.

But yeah, that Qi stuff is also "fun" problem...
