On the 25th of October 500,000 people marched through central London in support of the Palestine Nation, yet there were only 14 arrests. So, it doesn't seem easy to see the “cumulative impact”
Unless you are referring to the demonstrations in Parliament Square, where hundreds of arrests were made. Where is the society here, a collection of statues that looks on mutely and somewhat grandly?

I can't fathom who is being disturbed. Perhaps the worms. By and large, the academics, clerics and elderly could have been left to peaceful express themselves as per articles 11 and 12 of the ECHR.

You refer to “sections of our society, particularly the religious community, being disturbed” I assume you mean Jews? But there were jews amongst that march, there were jews who were being arrested in Parliament Square.

/2

Jews regularly participate in pro-Palestine marches to advocate for peace, justice, and a ceasefire, and to counter the idea that such marches are inherently antisemitic. Jewish individuals and groups have organised a "Jewish bloc" within larger demonstrations and expressed solidarity with Palestinians, citing a belief that collective safety is interconnected.

/3

Their participation challenges narratives that attempt to define the sentiment of all Jewish people and highlights their opposition to government policies and actions related to the conflict.

And “whilst you write that these measures do not ban protest outright” they represent another chiseling erosion of them.

Please reconsider, Sarah.

Do the right thing

Regards,

Ms Geraldine {redacted here}
