Someone in the room is responsible for the trickle of accounts that post slop images and AI booster news articles in the federated feed that I keep blocking; and I can't do anything about it because most of us have correctly and appropriately set our follows to private.
Truly a trial of our times.

@ldottxt @trevor To make sure we're all on the same page, the Federated feed is made up of a jumble of public posts from all the servers that Kind.Social is connected to. That doesn't necessarily mean the accounts showing up there have any direct connection - like from a Follow - just that they're on a server that ever had an account with a Follow connection to us.

@ldottxt I get the jist of it. But my "someone in the room" is as much or more a network effect as it is a person.
