@th clearly this is Leonardo DiCaprio
@gsuberland @th well after Kate didn't let him up on that door, he too became an expert in deep sea exploration.
@th 🤦‍♂️ I guess the rules are the rules.
@trbarrettjr @th I have been reading the interview, and I have to say that I'm a bit jealous of the interviewer. Apparently they're working for the coast guard, and I suspect he got that job because he's interested in these topics. And now you have the chance to spend hours geeking out about this stuff with James Cameron. Definitely a more interesting conversation than if you had to talk about any of his movies.

@loke @th The interesting thing when I clicked on the document was the cover page and the blacked out name with Co-designer/Pilot Deapsea Challenger.

Just look at the Wikipedia page and James Cameron's name is all over it. At this point I am enjoying this! Kind of funny, but then there are those rules that state you will give witnesses their privacy.

@th i cackled when i saw this
@th "you know too much now"

@th and later

>To put backstory to that, I had been an avid diver since I was in my teens and I made a film called The Abyss in 1988 which was released in 1989,

@th

A little extreme but from the point of view of the surveillance tech companies and the data broker ecosystem our entire lives are like this - whether or not you personally have an account with them.

@th Interviewer: what words rhyme with your name?
(Redacted): Let's see... Blames Tamarind.
@th I wonder if they were CYE fans
