@rrb @BrianJopek The ones that don't act like that are less noticeable because they don't put themselves forward. I'm not one myself. I did the 'read the book and realised it didn't work for me' thing. But I have some friends who do have that faith. But they don't push it on others, or try to shame people for living their lives.

@ariaflame @BrianJopek southeast usa has a particularly virulent strain of Christianity based on claiming to be pious while hating everyone not like you. Oh yes, and God is particularly fond of guns. Australians I have dealt with to date have not been infected.

This could explain our differing views of Chrstianity.

@rrb @BrianJopek It's not immune. Hillsong and chunks of Queensland come to mind (Ken Ham came from there) but it's not as pernicious.
