The difficult bit about these things is that it's like trying to excise an iceberg, when you can only see and grasp at a tiny bit of it.
If I can point admins towards something with a definable pattern of use, we might be able to do a lot better than just block them. We might be able to give the admins the kind of info they need to filter the great majority of them out.

Although it didn't seem similar to the previous bot accounts of pre-xitter, nor the early 2017 or the flood of 2022, here. There was no opening with canned material, or overly repeated stiff, usual odd references to one-man-audience ... seemed more along the line of legit idiots, or russophile individuals, at worst.

Back in 2022, there were droves signing up, to bigger instances without mod approval.
Post early to mid 2023, I have not seen many, if ANY actually, vatnik bot accounts roaming in the wild.
I understand there is a surge of vlad-desperation-driven bot accounts being sown and they've remembered the fediverse exists, I guess. Sigh.
