It is 2010. I am 34 years old. Tron bombs at the box office.
It is 2025. I am 49 years old. Tron bombs at the box office.
Yep. Wait for the third Blade Runner.
I liked the second Blade Runner more than the first, by the way.
And never really liked Tron. Are the sequels any good?
@maccruiskeen @phi1997 @RonsCompVids From what I recall it's pretty-much one updated edit of the original w/o the narration the studio requested plus a few scenes + a new restoration, AKA the "Final Cut".
The infamous work print that was also released with the Final Cut (in the 5-disc edition) was always what was referenced as "what could have been", but that was never intended to be Ridley's final cut.
@RonsCompVids
I had a random urge to go to a movie theater yesterday, so I checked what's showing. Other than two movies from like 20 years ago that are being re-screened, and one animated film about animals, nothing looked at all worthwhile.
It's not just me, is it?
@RonsCompVids Did the original Tron really bomb in the box office?
People kept talking about how great the original Tron movie was.
@RonsCompVids ‘76? Because I recognize these turn of events:)
END OF LINE
@RonsCompVids Hm. The time between Trons seems to be roughly halving, so:
It is roughly 2032. You will be 56. Tron will bomb at the box office.
It is roughly 2036. You will be 60. Tron will bomb at the box office.
By the early 2040s, a new Tron will be bombing at the box office before the previous Tron has even finished bombing.
I mean, I've seen this graphic a few times now, and I'm really feeling the vibe, but hey, my complaints are not about the fucking 'trons'
